Industrial Engineering

OBJECTIVE & CHARACTERISTICS

          This department cultivates students with both knowledge and technological skills in industrial engineering. It also aims to develop the student's designing, analytical and evaluating abilities in computerized manufacturing management. This department has two divisions: Manufacturing, and Information Processing. Both emphasize theory and practice, techniques and integrity.

Characteristics:

  1. Curriculum is geared towards the needs of the students.
  2. A variety of pedagogical and learning approaches are used to get students engaged more in their learning
  3. Practical, first-hand experiences are provided for research, internships, field opportunities, service learning etc...

Courses

           The department equips students with the relevant skills, and prepares them for their challenging careers. The courses of study are designed to provide the requisite breadth and depth, so that the students are able to perform in their future career in planning, design and management of industrial, engineering materials and computer aided design (CAD).  The courses this department offers include: Basic Theory of Engineering Practice, Computer- aided design and Computer -aided manufacturing (CAM). Required courses include: Calculus, Engineering Mechanics, and Working Drawing. 

           The course provides opportunities for those who aim to study for a bachelor of engineering degree, and to be equipped with excellent knowledge and competencies in industrial engineering. The duration of this program is 3- years and 4- years. The department equips students with the relevant skills, and prepares them for their challenging careers.
